Purpose:
South Texas AHEC plans to offer CME for several educational areas in health care. Provide CME for physicians who receive education activities related to the area health education center and the physicians of South Texas.
South Coastal AHEC is an accredited CME provider. This allows us to provide educational programs to all physicians to expand and improve their medical practice skills and assists with requirements of licensure regulations, hospital privileges, malpractice insurance and professional organization memberships.
The monthly series CME programs that are provided are ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) training. Every spring we sponsor an ALSO (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics) course. Many other program topics are available through out the year.
